Dirty Paintbrushes

Winter has arrived, and with it comes the slower season in the art world. From January to March, our gallery will be closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays to allow us to focus on preparing for the upcoming shows and refreshing our inventory with new and exciting pieces of art. We will be open Friday through Sunday from 10:am-4-pm. We will resume our regular business hours when slow season has passed.

During this time, we will be hard at work behind the scenes, scouting for talented artists, curating thought-provoking exhibitions, and carefully selecting pieces that will inspire and delight our visitors. From contemporary to classical, our focus is on offering a diverse range of styles and mediums, so that everyone can find something that speaks to them.

We understand that art enthusiasts may still want to visit the gallery during the slow season. If you are in the Albuquerque, Old Town area, we would be happy to open the gallery for you by appointment. Simply reach out to us through our website's contact area, and we will respond as soon as possible.

As we embrace this slower time of year, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for the amazing shows and new pieces of art that are on the horizon. We can't wait to share our passion and love of art with you and provide a space where you can escape and immerse yourself in creativity.

Stay tuned for updates on our upcoming events and exhibitions, and we look forward to seeing you soon. In the meantime, don't hesitate to reach out and make an appointment to visit the gallery during our slow season. We would love to hear from you!"

Wolf Martinez Gallery is excited to announce two upcoming art shows that will take place in April and June. The first show, "The Contemporary West," will take place on April 22nd, 2023, in celebration of Albuquerque's 316th birthday. This show will feature a diverse group of artists from different backgrounds and calibers, showcasing their take on the contemporary art scene in the West.

The second show, "A Journey through Dance," will be a solo exhibition by artist Jeanette Iskat. This show will revolve around the art of Flamenco dancers, exploring the fluid movements and passionate expressions of the dancers through Jeanette's unique lens.

"The Contemporary West" will showcase the work of artists who are inspired by the western landscape and culture, offering a fresh perspective on the traditional themes of the American West. Each piece will be a reflection of the artists' individual vision and their take on the contemporary western art scene.

On the other hand, "A Journey through Dance" will be a visually stunning and emotional exhibition that showcases the beauty and grace of Flamenco dance. Jeanette Iskat has been inspired by Flamenco for many years, and her work reflects her passion for the art form. Through her paintings, she captures the energy, emotion, and movement of the dancers, creating pieces that are both beautiful and powerful.

Both of these shows are sure to be a visual feast for art lovers. The Contemporary West will offer a glimpse into the art scene of the West, showcasing the diversity of talent and creativity in the region. A Journey through Dance will be an intimate and emotional experience, showcasing the beauty of Flamenco dance through the eyes of an artist who is deeply passionate about the art form.

So, mark your calendars, art lovers! These two exciting shows are not to be missed. The Contemporary West will take place on April 22, 2023, and A Journey through Dance will take place June 10, 2023.
